Printer Ink Cartridge Refills Problem

PROBLEM

I have refilled my black ink cartridge with a refill kit. On the print test page the black bar, is black on right hand side and than gradually fades to the left until white. I have cleaned the cartridge as suggested by HP. When we filled the ink, instructions said fill the top right hole only, is that correct.

SOLUTION

1. Sometimes ink cartridge refill takes a little time for it to sink down and print correctly. Clean it a few times, and if it's still not working, leave it overnight. For some reason, it always works

2. As far as which holes to fill, just follow the instructions with your refill kit.

3. Well- you tried using a refill kit once. Buy the ones that are recommended by the printer's manufacturer. Now, some lucky people have used them with no problem. Follow directions as listed though.

4. Read the labels

5. Even though you can refill a cartridge it doesn’t mean the cartridge is still good. The main part of an ink cartridge is the printer head, if the print head is damaged the only thing you can do is buy a new cartridge. One thing you can try is removing the cartridge from the printer get a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol and cleaning the print head that way

6. You would soak the cartridge print head down on a rubbing alcohol soaked paper towel for about five minutes. You find rubbing alcohol to work better then hot water, but both will work to unclog the cartridge. Also, refill kits work great and are a cheaper alternative than buying the original cartridges. If you take your time, read the instructions and don't rush the refilling process than things should go smooth.
